The dollar declined eight centavos Monday to close at a selling price of 20.98 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 19.79 pesos.
The euro rose 16 centavos to close at 22.58 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.59 pesos and 0.209 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 20.5927 pesos per dollar.
