Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 20.81 pesos at market close Tuesday, a 17-centavo decline from Monday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 19.62 pesos.
The euro declined 31 centavos to close at 22.27 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.28 pesos and 0.207 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 20.3863 pesos per dollar.
