Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 18.70 pesos at market close Thursday, a nine-centavo decrease from the day before. The dollar was purchased for 17.89 pesos.
The euro lost seven centavos to be sold at 21.05 pesos, while the pound was sold at 24.59 pesos.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.4460 pesos per dollar.
