The dollar finished up 10 centavos on Monday, closing at a selling price of 17.59 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 16.45 pesos.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the exchange rate at 17.5836 pesos per dollar.
CI Bank says that the Mexico peso could experience wide ranging fluctuation this week, seeing valuations shift between 17.30 and 18.00 pesos per dollar. This is in light of United States’ objectives in renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
