In 2015 the total food trade between Mexico and the United States was $40 billion, said the head of the Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food Secretariat (Sagarpa), José Calzada Rovirosa.
Leading the inauguration of the work of the Mexico-United States Consultant Committee on Agriculture, Calzada Rovirosa said that of the total exports to the U.S. of $22 billion corresponds to sales of farm products and agribusiness produced in Mexico, that represents $60 million on average daily.
